Rev. Scott King was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  He grew up enjoying a wide variety of sports ranging from football, baseball, and surfing. At age 18, he met his beautiful wife, Esther, and was married a year later.

Pastor Scott and Esther are the proud parents of four great and really cool kids: Courtney, Jessica, Michael, and Victoria. The King family has expanded in the past two years as Jessica married Logan, and gave birth to a daughter, Brooklyn. Pastor Scott has a degree in Computer Technologies from ECPI and began his career in this field.

When he was 24 years old, Pastor Scott surrendered to a calling to preach. He began to study under some wonderful pastors who helped shape him into the pastor he is today.  He received his seminary training from Nazarene Bible College.  He began his ministry as a youth pastor in Orange Park, Florida. He then transitioned to the role of senior pastor.  He has served as a senior pastor in Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Pastor Scott feels blessed to have received a call to be the Senior Pastor of Fairmont First Church of the Nazarene.

Pastor Scott enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and golfing. As a family, the King's enjoy hiking, camping, and martial arts.  The entire family has achieved a black belt and above ranking in Tae Kwon Do.

Pastor Scott's life verse is Romans 12:1-2, "Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will."

Pastor Jeff was born in Fairmont and was raised in the Idamay/Barrackville/Mannington areas of Marion County.  As a teenager his mother began attending the Mannington Church of the Nazarene.  Jeff became involved in the NYI teen group and was saved during a teen summer camp when he was 17 years old.  It was through the NYI group that he met his wife, Barbara who attended the Fairmont Central Church of the Nazarene. After graduating from high school, Jeff entered the workforce and 3 years later, he and Barbara were married at the Fairmont Central Church where they began actively serving as lay people for over 30 years.  During those years, Jeff was also actively involved with the local church and WV North district NYI, receiving the Timothy Award in July 2011 for his many years of service.

Jeff has been employed at West Virginia University for over 30 years currently serving as an Assistant Director of Facilities Management.  While Jeff had been a local licensed minister for many years in his local church, he felt the call to begin taking his ordination classes in 2010.  Jeff completed his coursework in 2016 and accepted the call to be the Pastor at the Grafton Blueville Church of the Nazarene as their bi-vocational pastor. In 2018, he became the Associate Pastor at Fairmont First to be closer to home.  His wife Barbara is a Business Education teacher with Marion County Schools.

Jeff and Barbara are the parents of two adult daughters who are both graduates of Mount Vernon Nazarene University.  Their oldest daughter Bethany is married to their son-in-law Nick and they have two sons, Nicky and Cameron. She is a Special Education teacher with Marion County Schools.  Their youngest daughter, Rebecca is married to son-in-law Chase and is an Art Teacher in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Haught’s enjoy spending time with their family and embracing the blessing of being grandparents to their grandsons, Nicky & Cameron.

Pastor Brenna Patterson was raised in Chesapeake, Virginia along with five other siblings and three dogs. At the age of 19, she accepted her call to ministry and began to follow God's plan for her life. She began serving at a local church as a youth worship director and worship leader. In 2018, she left Virginia to pursue a BA in Religion from Trevecca Nazarene University. She is currently serving as the Youth Pastor at Fairmont First Church. Pastor Brenna and her husband, Zach reside in Fairmont with their dog, Athena.

Pastor Brenna loves to write music, play the piano, and cook in her spare time. She also likes to volunteer, having worked with organizations such as Room in the Inn and Feeding the 5,000 and serving at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene's Emmaus service.

One of Pastor Brenna's favorite passages of Scripture is Micah 7:18-19. "Who is a God like you, who pardons sins and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread out sins underfoot and hurl our iniquities into the depths of the sea."
